Connection in Bruinisse
“We would like connection in our interior.” That was the whole brief, and the diagnosis was already in it.
The room consisted of separate elements, each right in itself but with nothing to do with one another. That is precisely why an interior feels restless without your being able to say why.
We tied the parts together: the same materials in several places, and furniture that answers to itself rather than merely standing side by side.
The design
A lighting plan that makes depth
We designed the light at the same time as the layout. That removes dark corners and gives the room depth; you can shift the mood by changing the intensity alone.
The dining area sits close to the kitchen, with room to move around it. Practical, and it keeps the circulation natural.
